Herd That Farms is a Border Collie breeder based in Erwin, NC with our second farm being located in Robbins, NC. Our story began when an 18 year old girl wanted to get her father, who had recently been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, the border collie he always wanted.

This little pup (Oakley May) was our biggest blessing in disguise.  She gave him purpose in his last 2 years with us and she served as his therapy and emotional support dog. She was so much more than the "dog he always wanted". She was the joy that we so desperately needed in our most trying times. The impact she had, and still has, on our family formed my deep love and passion for the Border Collie. I have been breeding these amazing dogs since 2019 and have been fortunate enough to be mentored by some of the most experienced border collie breeders around.

I am a former graduate from North Carolina State University with a degree in Animal Science. Working as a former veterinary technician and being raised on a horse farm gave me the hand's on experience needed to both ensure the health and well-being of my dogs and future pups. I specialize in breeding healthy and happy Border Collies with excellent temperaments. My puppies are raised in a loving home environment and receive the best care possible with much socialization. I take pride in my breeding program and am committed to providing my clients with the highest quality Border Collies. I believe that my dogs are not just pets, but members of the family. That's why I work hard to ensure that my dogs are well-socialized with people of all ages, well-trained with children, and have the best start in life. My goal is to match my clients with the perfect Border Collie that will bring joy and companionship to their lives.
